Overview

E2 is looking for a Cathodic Protection Designer to join our team and complete designs for any projects involving cathodic protection. This role includes design, planning, coordinating and completing tasks/projects related to cathodic protection in natural gas pipelines and related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop cathodic protection systems for pipelines, tanks, and other infrastructure.
  • Conduct field surveys and assessments to determine the condition of existing cathodic protection systems.
  • Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet project requirements and standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and project proposals.
  • Provide technical support during installation and commissioning of cathodic protection systems.

Qualifications

  • 4-10 years of experience in cathodic protection design.
  • Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD and CP design tools.
  • Strong understanding of corrosion principles and protection methods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Corrosion Science, or a related field.
  • Certification from the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) as a Cathodic Protection Technician or Specialist.
  • Experience with cathodic protection systems for natural gas utilities.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., NACE, ASTM).

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $70,000 - $105,000.  The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
