Overview

E2 is looking for a Cathodic Protection Engineer to join our team and complete engineering for any projects involving cathodic protection. This role includes design review, planning, coordinating and completing tasks/projects related to cathodic protection in natural gas pipelines and related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage cathodic protection systems for various infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct field surveys, testing, and diagnostics to evaluate the effectiveness of existing cathodic protection systems.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, technical specifications, and project documentation.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of cathodic protection systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Corrosion Science, or a related field.
  • 4-10 years of experience in cathodic protection engineering.
  • Strong technical knowledge of corrosion control and cathodic protection principles.
  • Proficiency in using engineering design software and tools.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification from the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) as a Cathodic Protection Specialist or Engineer.
  • Experience with cathodic protection systems for natural gas utilities and large-scale infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., NACE, ASTM).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000.  The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.

Travel

Travel is involved, sometimes 2 to 3 hours one way, with possible overnight stays depending on project needs.
