Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural systems, preparing detailed engineering drawings, and coordinating with other team members to ensure project success for PV Solar projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to apply their skills and knowledge in a challenging, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design of various building types in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD and Revit for the creation and modification of 3D models and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure design specifications are met.
  • Develop structural design plans and specifications for a variety of materials, including steel, concrete, and wood.
  • Perform seismic design and analysis, ensuring structures can withstand the forces generated by earthquakes.
  • Participate in site visits to monitor construction progress and verify compliance with design plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineering staff.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay current with industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering, or related field.

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis principles and techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

• Professional Engineer’s License preferred.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000.  The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
