The Sr. Project Controls Manager reports to the Program Controls Director and is responsible for the financial compliancy. The characteristic of the candidate is someone that is meticulous about perfection and quality of ones work and has a keen understanding of cost forecasting and reporting and can consider oneself someone that can assist a Chief Financial Officer. They shall be held accountable for accuracy, regardless of the outcome. The individual may also have experience working for a contractor (general or subcontractor), as this will help in understanding, leading and finding solutions to complex accounting matters. The Sr. Project Controls Manager bears the primary responsibility for tracking and forecasting all assigned project budgets and costs and is responsible for ensuring that projects comply with contract terms and the applicable procedures with regards to authorizing documents and pay applications. The Sr. Project Controls Manager shall lead cost forecasting and risks analysis sessions with members the design team and the contractor. The Sr. Project Controls Manager is responsible for contract management compliance with all processes and monthly monitoring of all commercial activities and engagement with the project teams. The prime responsibility is to review, monitor, track and approve all commercially relevant aspects of the Program (i.e. budget compliance, planned and actual cash flow, and change orders). The Sr. Project Controls Manager oversees the various projects. This is a hybrid role- 4 days in office in Los Angeles.
Key Job Duties
Maintain Budgets
o Ensuring the implementation of the assigned projects are in line with the approved budget.
o Maintaining individual project budgets
o Ensuring compliance of project teams with their budgets, including continuous evaluation and controlling of costs against budgets
o Managing risk and issues
Control Costs (supported by project cost engineering for Prolog input)
o Ensuring payments are made in line with contracts, including payments to designers, contractors, and all other parties
o Setting up, maintaining and reviewing all financial processes and reporting a monthly financial summary of the program cash flows
Manage Changes
o Ensure compliance with Change Advisory Board processes and procedures and maintain documentation of all CAB items
o Ensure standardization and compliance with change management procedures
o Enforce Change Advisory Board processes, which are in place to prevent unauthorized and/or improperly vetted changes that could negatively impact the cost of the Program. The Change Advisory Board process provides a path for internal and external stakeholders and others to propose changes. It ensures proper documentation and justification is in place for all changes to be considered by the Program Board and Steering Committee and provides tracking and records for all proposed changes.
Manage Risks
o Manage risks of the Program and ensuring all risk mitigation processes are aligned and implemented
o Maintain risk registers in coordination with the project teams and Risk Manager as needed
o Identify potential change order requests and process in accordance with Change Advisory Board procedures

Salary range for this position is $165,000 - $210,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
