Overview

E2 is hiring an Aviation Project Controls Manager who will be responsible for assisting the TBIT Refresh Project Manager with managing scope, schedule and operational interfaces of all design and construction-related activities for TDIP's Terminal Refresh project.  The Terminal Refresh Project covers the TBIT departures and arrivals halls.  It is intended to address outdated finishes and passenger processing functions in areas of the airport that have not had major renovations over the past 10 years.  The renewal of certain mechanical, electrical and plumbing assets will also be included in the project.  The characteristics of the candidate shall display a solid understanding and experience of interior renovations projects within an active operating environment (activities, transportation, retail, manufacturing, etc.)  The ability to lead a collaboration of stakeholders, designers and contractors will be critical to the program's success.

 

This position works in the office 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of work packages and Task Orders.
  • May provide direction and input on projects from design development stage through construction.
  • Ensures Designers and Contractors are meeting CEQA/NEPA and/or Entitlement requirements.
  • Primary liason and airport/owner representative responsible for directing and managing the project
  • Responsible for scope development and scope management of the project to meet project goals and objective
  • Develop the RFP and oversee the procurement process for designers and contractors
  • Providing direction and management for assignment project and ensuring on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Planning and defining program goals and devising methods to accomplish them, developing in-depth knowledge of owner objectives, contract terms, and airport policies

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, planning or other related technical field required.

 

Preferred Qualifcations:

  • Master's degree
  • Optional Certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PMP, PE, AICP, PMI-SP etc. or any other relevant

This is a Monday - Friday full-time position in the office or on the project site at LAX.

THIS IS NOT A Work from home position.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000.  The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
