Overview

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our growing Power Delivery Division. This individual will play a key role in driving strategic growth initiatives with Electric Utilities, EPC Contractors, and Renewable Energy Developers. The ideal candidate will bring strong industry relationships, proven sales expertise, and a deep understanding of transmission, distribution, and substation engineering services.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities with electric utility clients, EPC contractors, and renewable energy companies.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support long-term partnerships.
  • Lead proposal development, including strategy, pricing, and coordination with technical teams.
  • Track market trends, client capital plans, and emerging opportunities in the power delivery sector.
  • Represent E2 at industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Develop and execute annual business development plans aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Work closely with engineering, project management, and leadership teams to ensure alignment between client needs and service delivery.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum 5–10 years of business development, sales, or client management experience in power delivery or related industries.
  • Established network within electric utilities, EPC firms, or renewable developers.
  • Strong knowledge of transmission, substation, and distribution engineering services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.

Preferred

  • Prior experience working in an engineering consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with project delivery models such as EPC, design-build, or owner’s engineer services.
  • Technical background in power systems engineering.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $145,000 - $190,000 plus the opportunity for a yearly bonus based on performance.  The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
