Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead AI and Digital Twin-related initiatives supporting grid modernization, asset digitization, and advanced data platform development. This role focuses on end-to-end project delivery—coordinating scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder alignment across complex, cross-functional efforts in a regulated utility environment.The ideal candidate will have experience managing technical infrastructure and data-driven projects, working with teams across engineering, IT, field operations, and vendors. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to drive execution in a highly structured environment.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery:

  • Manage full project lifecycle phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, Gantt charts, and milestone tracking
  • Define scope, requirements, and work breakdown structures (WBS); monitor adherence to timelines and deliverables
  • Conduct formal stage-gate reviews, prepare status reports, and manage issue/risk logs
  • Oversee change management, documentation, and compliance with project governance processes
  • Support PMO reporting and executive dashboards (PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI)

AI & Digital Twin Project Support:

  • Lead delivery of AI/ML-driven forecasting and virtual modeling initiatives across grid or field operations
  • Coordinate technical dependencies related to SCADA, GIS, DERMS, cloud data platforms, and telemetry systems
  • Manage integration and deployment timelines for digital twin models and predictive analytics solutions
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory compliance standards (CPUC, NERC) and utility operational goals

Stakeholder and Vendor Coordination:

  • Serve as the central point of coordination between business owners, technical teams, and third-party vendors
  • Schedule and facilitate cross-functional meetings, decision checkpoints, and progress reviews
  • Track vendor deliverables, contractual obligations, and key integration timelines
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and ensure timely escalation of risks or blockers

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of project management experience delivering enterprise IT or data-focused initiatives
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or advanced analytics programs (AI/ML, digital twin, data platforms)
  • Familiarity with utility operations, asset management, SCADA systems, GIS, AMI, DERMS, or related platforms
  • Strong proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Jira, ServiceNow, Power BI
  • Skilled in schedule, cost, and risk management, with strong written and verbal communication Experience managing projects in regulated environments is a plus (e.g., CPUC, NERC)

Work Requirements:

  • Must be local to Los Angeles, CA
  • Must be available for a hybrid work schedule (on-site and remote)

Wage Data Per State Requirements

The Salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
