Overview

The Director of Operations is responsible for managing day-to-day functions of contracts, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability. You will ensure daily execution by streamlining processes, managing budgets, and overseeing staff across multiple contracts to ensure efficiency and compliance. The Director of Operations must promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational systems and procedures to maximize output and minimize costs.
  • Monitor budgets, procurements, and resource allocation to maintain profitability.
  • Lead and mentor field managers, promote collaboration, and foster a productive environment.
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
  • Ensure operations adhere to company and client policies, industry regulations, and legal standards.
  • Develop and manage relationships with clients, partners and vendors. 
  • Work hand in hand with the Director of Business Development in search of new business and contract awards.
  • Must maintain a strong commitment to safety compliance.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encourage professional development and employee engagement.

Qualifications

  • Ability to make prompt, informed decisions regarding staffing and processes.
  • Act as a liaison between staff and company leadership.
  • Utilize expertise in maintenance and operations methodologies to increase operational efficiency. 
  • Excellent computer and communications skills are essential. Experience in use of Microsoft excel, ie. development and use of spreadsheets, and Microsoft Word are critical.
  • Experienced in maintenance and operations on government contracts required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years’ experience or associate’s degree with 15 years’ experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain government clearance.
